Mental Health Training CQ was founded in February 2023, with a clear focus on addressing the rising prevalence of mental health issues within our community. We recognised a gap in mental health support, particularly within the Health & Wellness Industry, where many organisations, community groups, and individuals were grappling with the effects of mental illness.
By integrating our expertise in Nutrition and Weight Management, we saw the importance of a holistic approach to mental wellness.
Our mission at Mental Health Training CQ is to promote health and wellness through education and initiatives. We foster habits of wellness and increase awareness of factors contributing to overall wellbeing. Our goal is to encourage individuals to take responsibility for their own health and the health of others. We aim to support a sense of community while working to destigmatise mental illness.

As a holistic health and wellness professional, I am deeply committed to breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health and creating a culture of support and understanding. Through my work as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor,
I am dedicated to equipping individuals with the knowledge, skills and confidence to recognize and respond to mental health challenges in real-time. Whether it’s a family member, colleague, friend, or someone in the wider community, my aim is to empower participants to step in as compassionate first responders during a mental health crisis.
I believe that mental health literacy is key to building stronger, more resilient communities. By providing practical, evidence-based tools, I help individuals become better equipped to identify signs of distress, offer initial support and guide others toward professional help when necessary. In doing so, I hope to foster environments where mental health is prioritized, understood, and supported. My ultimate goal is to inspire a shift towards a more inclusive, empathetic society, where mental health conversations are open, and no one has to face their struggles alone.
Jess, our dedicated MHFA Programs Coordinator, is a caring and compassionate professional with a strong commitment to supporting others.
Currently pursuing a Certificate IV in Mental Health, Jess is not only building on her knowledge and skills but also living her passion for mental health and community care.
As the main point of contact for our Mental Health First Aid courses, she plays a crucial role in assisting organizations, community groups, and individuals through their journey toward better mental health awareness and support.
